you know what the Hunger Games makes me hungry for?

more hunger games!  :)  Suzy's done it again, (along with quite a few others), she highly recommended the Hunger Games trilogy.  Holy moly, I'm in love again.  I always read the good books too fast.  And then I spend the next week mourning the closing of that world.  I may become a little too attached to the characters.  hmmm.  There's just something about a good book.

What did I love most?
I love fantasy/scifi fiction anyway.  But a new work requires something fresh.  A fresh spin on old themes.  I found this picture of our culture gone awry fascinating.  The idea of Survivor meets the old gladiators.  Watching the destruction of others from the comfort of our homes.  Our cultures tireless quest for beauty and fashion driving towards the ever more absurd.  New and exciting ways to torture people (i HATE the concept of torture btw).  And... I'm a hopeless romantic, and I loved Peeta from start to finish.  Other favorite characters: Haymitch, Cinna and Finnick.
