a beautiful day in the neighborhood

this is the sight that greets us on our way to or from Luke's school each day.  When we're really lucky the sky is blue, and the air is warm and the sun makes the pond shimmer. 

I couldn't help myself.  Today as I headed home, the sight just took my breath away (the pictures never do it justice).  So I pulled the minivan in (an obvious sign that I'm not even supposed to be there!) and went to pet the horses.  They are the sweetest (we've stopped here before - to take family pictures ;).
